Industrial Blowers

Our company is a distinguished Manufacturer and Supplier of Industrial Blowers. Our range of Industrial Blowers includes Centrifugal Blower and Axial Blower. Many fans and blowers fall under the classifications of Industrial Fans, Industrial Blowers, Exhaust Blowers, Industrial Cooling Fans, Industrial Exhaust Fan, Industrial Ventilation Fans, Industrial Centrifugal Fans, and Impeller Fans. They are all primarily broken down into two types of industrial fans: centrifugal or axial.

How To Select A Fan?
To make the proper fan selection, you must consider the following conditions the fan will be subjected to :
  • Capacity of a fan divided based on volume and pressure developed by the fan
    • Volume : Airflow that will be required?
This is rated in cubic feet of air per minute (cfm) or in metric equivalent it is rated in cubic meters per hour (m3/hr)
    • Pressure : Generally total pressure or static pressure generated by the fan. Static pressure through the complete system is rated in static pressure water gauge (spwg) or in metric equivalent it is rated in Pascalâs (pa)
Note : SPWG or pa is the resistance to flow, or friction, caused by the air moving through a pipe or duct. Be sure to include losses through filters, dampers, etc.
  • Temperature
    • Temperature of the air going through the fan?
    • Ambient air temperature outside the fan?
  • Will the air stream be clean, dry air?
  • If the fan will be used to convey material or dust laden answer the following :
    • What is the material?
    • How much does the material weigh, per cmh / cfm?
    • How many kg to be conveyed per hour?
    • Is the material long and stringy or granular?
    • Will there be any moisture in the air stream?
    • On considering more safety factors, Is anything going through the fan that could be Combustible or explosive? Does the location the fan will be operating in contain any explosive material, liquid or both?
  • What is the altitude the fan will be operating at?

Note
  • An axial fan can be used for all the above parameters, except if you will be using the fan to convey material or to collect dust particles.
  • Most centrifugal fans can be used for any of the above parameters. The best centrifugal wheel type for conveying material is a radial tipped wheel or a radial wheel with or without shroud.

Centrifugal fans and blowers typically have one of six types of wheels that draw the air into the inlet of the blower housing and discharges it at 90 degrees out through the discharge of the housing.

Indair designs and manufactures centrifugal fans for wide range of pressure, direction of discharge and power to suit customer requirement. Many of the blowers in varying capacities are available in standard specifications. However, we specialize in offering one-off tailor made designs as well to suit customer specifications.

The two most common types of centrifugal blowers are pressure blowers and volume blowers.

  • Pressure blowers are designed to draw or push air at high pressures, generally rated in Pascal, Bar or SPWG (Static Pressure Water Gauge) in mm or inches. These blowers are used in burners, furnaces, glass cooling plants etc.
  • Volume blowers are designed to draw or push larger volumes of air, generally rated in CFM (Cubic Feet per minute) or CMH (Cubic Meter per Hour).

Centrifugal blowers are typically made of fabricated mild steel, stainless steel or cast aluminum, rarely in inconel, Cast iron and special steels too. Fans are manufactured with different impeller configuration as per application. If you have special requirements that cannot be met with standard fans or blowers, please contact us.

An Axial Fan normally uses a propeller, for more economic there will be 5 or more blades, to draw the air through a section of ductwork or a flat wall panel and out the other side in an axial direction. There is also one type of axial fan that has a centrifugal wheel mounted in a section of duct work and is classified as a tubular centrifugal.

Axial flow fans or axial fans use a propeller to draw the air into the fan and discharge it in the same axial direction in helical form. The most common types of industrial axial fans are: tube axial fans (or duct fans), panel fans (or wall fans), vane axial fans, personnel coolers and air circulators.

Propeller/impeller used could be cast aluminum or sheet metal blades dynamic balanced for vibration free operation.

In variable pitch model, the blade angels could be adjusted to vary volume and pressure developed by the impeller. Capacity of the fan varies with the blade angle extensively without changing speed of the fan.

Generally the discharge of the axial fan throws the air in helical pattern. When the helical pattern is not preferred, the directive vanes are included. These fans are termed as van axial fans.
